"Should trans women be allowed to compete in women's sports" I don't think there should be women's sports. I think it's a silly artificial construction that only upholds the gender binary while it's benefits are incidental and would be better addressed directly.

Care about giving people with different body types and muscle mass a shot? Split your league by weight categories like boxing, or some other direct physical measurement. Gender is at best a poor proxy for these and we only do it because we still treat women are a different species. "But that still wouldn't be fully fair to everyone?" Sport isn't fully fair, it's about rewarding people with the most biological advantage. That's the whole point of it.

You want to give more sporting opportunity to women and minorities specifically? Okay then do that. Create your own opportunities league, but if we're giving up the pretense that it's about essential biological advantage then you better let trans women in.

What's that, the extra league would be treated as a novelty afterthought and would lack the prestige of the real main event? You mean like how women's events were treated when they were introduced? True! In fact women's leagues are still largely treated as secondary now, and you know how we can fix it? Make the main leagues open to everyone with weight, height or muscle mass categories so that people with different body types can excel. Like I suggested before. Problem solved.

karma would actually be better than light with the death note because he’d match ryuk‘s energy better and wouldnt get caught by doing something as stupid as killing lind L tailor. also hed probably just be besties with misa. meanwhile if you put light yagami in E class hed probably have a mental breakdown from not being considered one of the smart kids, and hed get his ass handed to him by nagisa in gym class. light couldnt murder anyone with his own hands he needs the stupid little notebook. karma would push L off a building. we have a clear winner.

heres my reasoning:

light cant do assclass bc see above. but he CAN do love is war in a fucked up and terrible way because he manipulated serval girls romantically throughout death note and was generally popular with the ladies despite being gay and homophobic

karma can do death note bc see above. but he cant do love is war because hed genuinely be terrible at anything involving relationships and communication. hes not quite as good at manipulating people as he thinks he is and he has no idea how to talk things out. nagisa suggested that they dont murder their teacher and karma was like wow im going to say a slur now!

kaguya cant do death note and i KNOW this seems like a shock but despite her persona of being fucked up and evil but well. for starters shes a lot softer than she seems on the surface, and shes fucking loaded, her family is really corrupted as is… if she wanted people dead she would have done it by now. she has no use for the death note. literally pointless to her, like i dont think she would care. even if she did use it it wouldnt be on a kira level. but i think she can do assassination classroom easily because that series was never about actually murdering people it was about growing up and a bunch of kids healing from the fucked up system theyre placed in and kaguya NEEDS that

i think L can do assclass because analytical skills are a very important part of being an assassin, of course, but also in being a good student. i think hed be okay with being in E class because he probably wouldnt give a shit about grades despite being a genius. or because hes a genius. he cant do love is war because nobody wants him </3

i think nagisa cant do death note because he would actually be in L’s position here based on how im doing it and he is not smart. like. i love him i truly do. im sorry to do this to him on trans day of visibility no less. but hes not smart, i DONT think hes dumb by any means but i also dont think hes smart. but i actually think he could do love is war because of that one time he stopped kaede from going on a self destructive murder spree by just kissing her. like i forgot he legit learned that skill so he probably could do love is war.

miyuki on the other hand DOES have the analytical skills to potentially keep up with kira, his main way of operating in love is war is by improvising based on kaguya’s more meticulous pre-planned strategy so i think he could do it. but i DONT think he can do assassination classroom because he is simultaneously a huge perfectionist when it comes to academics and also like. bad at most things. hed probably start to have a mental breakdown over the fact that hes in the dumb kid class and the fact that he probably cant keep up with the assassin training but hes trying DESPERATELY to hide it. i do think a good teacher like korosensei would be able to help him but i also dont know if he would last that long before dropping out entirely

light cant do code geass because “the only ones who should kill are those prepared to be killed.” he and lelouch may seem similar but the key difference is lelouch cared abt ppl other than himself. karma cant do code geass because hed get overzealous and get caught beating the shit out of prince clovis in episode 1 end of show. kaguya cant do it either for similar reasons to death note and i also genuinely dont think shed give enough of a shit.

lelouch can do death note better than light. i mean that. he can do assclass because like, he assassinated like 4 of his siblings or something hes got the chops. he cannot do love is war. if either suzaku or lelouch could do love is war the series wouldnt be 50 episodes long.

L can do code geass better than suzaku. L would have figured out exactly who zero was by episode 6. and i think nagisa can do code geass and this MAY come as a shock, it wasnt my initial thought but then i thought abt it more. hed be in suzaku’s role which was that of a soldier and nagisa was the so-called “natural” assassin so hed actually probably be decent at it PLUS he shares suzaku’s suicidal ideation which is (partly) what made him sync w the lancelot. miyuki cannot do code geass because he would absolutely get too distracted by the princess romance plotline to even care about zero anymore

suzaku. im so sorry. i dont think you can pull off any of these other shows. im a suzaku defender but still. i dont think hed be able to figure out who kira is and even if he did his emotional attachment would fuck up his logic and reasoning (he sort of knew lelouch was zero and still convinced himself otherwise. “i didnt want it to be you”). he cant do assclass because he has such a huge complex about never killing people that hed probably have a mental breakdown. he cant do love is war. see above.

I’m sorry I’m just so obsessed with this post I come back to it like every other week— if you’ll allow me to add to it…?

I think Light could almost do Spy x Family, like he pretty much has what it takes (perfectly non-threatening fake persona, can easily fake a romantic relationship, could ABSOLUTELY be an assassin, etc…). The only problem is, he would entirely lose his mind after .3 seconds of dealing with Anya.

Karma can totally do SxF because he’s charismatic enough so that nobody would suspect him of being an assassin if he really wanted to hide it. At most, he’d have slightly-odd-parent-that-lives-next-door energy.

Kaguya would pull off the “wife and mother” act perfectly with enough prep time. She wouldn’t really have a reason to become an assassin but I believe she’d do it if she had to (as long as it’s not some Kira-level mass-murder stuff). Though she’d use more discreet methods, like poisoning or something. She’d absolutely never get caught of course, she’s too meticulous for that.

Lelouch can, in fact, do SxF because, unlike Light, he actually can take care of children.

Now Yor I believe couldn’t do Death Note because, despite operating under a similar logic as Kira (Thorn Princess “only kills monsters and traitors”), she never claimed to know who deserves to live and who doesn’t. She’s a hired assassin, she kills her targets. She doesn’t have the ambition of re-shaping the world to her image or anything, she just wants to protect the ones she cares about. Also, she likes cold weapons wayyy too much to use the Death Note lmao.

Yor can do Assassination Classroom for similar reasons than Kaguya can: this type of guidance is really something Yor would’ve needed as a social recluse orphaned teen. And duh, she’s literally an assassin, she’d be top of class E in that regard!

She can’t do Love is War because she’s really not a manipulative person and is way too naive for all the scheming that goes on in that show.

She can’t do Code Geass either because, again, she’s not ambitious or manipulative enough to become a Zero-like figure.

L can’t do Spy x Family because he can’t do social situations. He’s so blunt he’d out himself as a spy in less than three seconds.

I believe Nagisa CAN do SxF cause like, just like Karma, he’s actually decently good at convincing people he is normal (I know I sure fell for it for a good chunk of the series). He’s not really a strategic person, but he doesn’t need it to be a good spy because people naturally trust him.

Miyuki would be so good at SxF because he’s good at improv which is GREAT for a spy. Also I fully believe he’d be quicker at the whole “dad” thing than Loid is.

Continuing the trend of Suzaku being useless (I’m sorry I love him); I actually do think he could do SxF as Yor, but as Loid?? Poor kid would try so hard to infiltrate powerful pro-war Ostania politicians circles that he’d accidentally join Desmond’s political party and start fighting for their cause for real. God save his soul, he’s trying to change the system from the inside but accidentally becomes the system…

Twilight’s whole shtick is he can play any role, so you’d think he could do all of these, right?? WRONG. This man would never, in a million years figure out who Kira is. I mean he literally hasn’t noticed he’s married to an assassin. His observation skills operate by Roger Rabbit rule, therefore he couldn’t pull of being L.

However I do think I can do AssClass, because again, tortured childhood&teenage years, he’d fit right within class E. He’s also strong and agile enough to be an assassin. He’s perfectly capable of killing someone, as we’ve seen.

Loid could do Love is War better than Miyuki. C’mon, the guy is probably the god of honey-traps! He’d struggle more with the emotional side of it, but he’d get there eventually.

He wouldn’t guess Zero’s identity (again, Roger Rabbit observation skills), but honestly, neither really did Suzaku (he had suspicions but wouldn’t believe it). Still, I’m pretty sure he could pilot a Knightmare just fine. Really, it’s almost comical how that man can do pretty much anything (except get his daughter to earn Stella stars).

Obligatory #feminism but I’d like to specify that Anya’s role in these stories would slightly differ: she’d just find her way into the plot and have a gay ol’ waku waku time listening to everyone’s thoughts.
